Our Motto:  "Come as a Visitor; Stay as a Friend!"

Our Mission: The avowed purpose shall be to worship God, to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion; to realize Christian fellowship and unity within this church and the Church universal; to render loving service toward humanity; and to strive for righteousness, justice and peace.

We are a welcoming United Church of Christ serving without discrimination people of all ages, races, genders, and socio-economic walks of life, celebrating Life Abundant!

We are a family oriented, Biblically grounded, "God Is Still Speaking" interpretive congregation of many religious backgrounds.
Our worship ministry includes the Sacramental Ministry to the homebound and nursing homes.  Our teaching ministry includes Pre-School through Adult, 2 year Confirmation program, and adult education.

As a significant Christian presence in our small rural town, we are socially active in our community, such as schools, Food Pantry, Thrift Store, Economic Development including the Industrial Park, Senior Citizens, Prime Visions for Seniors including sightseeing tours, health club, Alcester Golf Club, service clubs for men and women, Scouting programs, Alcester Ministerial Association, a full range of sports from Elementary to High School, community music and choral events and festivals, one of which featured the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra.
