Our Mission: We believe Jesus Christ is savior and as such we welcome all who prayerfully endeavor to further Christ's work in our community and in the world.
Central Village Congregational Church gathers in a small white well-maintained building that is listed on the national register of historic places. It was organized April 15, 1846. Our governing bodies are creative and well-informed. In the past three years we have set up a benefit concert series with contributions being made to such organization as the women's sexual assault center, the Plainfield Human Resources and places where disaster has struck, such as the Florida hurricane regions and tsunami areas. We are a friendly community with a small church school that meets simutaneously with worship. Our children have been instucted and receive communion with the rest of the congregation. We have a lively choir and sing from updated hymnals purchased recently. Through worship and adult education we explore God's call to us to be stewards of the environment, of each other, of our faith and of the oppressed.
We welcome all who wish to know Christ and to learn how Christ has inspired us to grow in spirit, search for the meaning of life, and laugh and find joy in Christian service.
