Our Mission: The Community Church of Fontana, an ecumenical congregation of the United Church of Christ, is gathered to live the good news of Jesus Christ's presence in thought, word, and deed.
The Community Church of Fontana offers Christian education classes for preschool through senior high youth. The graded Sunday school sessions meet each Sunday from September to May during the 10:00 a.m. worship hour. In the summer months from June to August the church offers an ungraded Sunday school for the children and youth during the 10:00 a.m. worship service. The Christian education program of the church also includes confirmation study for 8th grade youth taught by the pastor and selected mentors. The church has adult bible study and book study groups. It also provides fellowship groups for junior and senior high youth.
Community Church takes seriously God's call to meet not only the spiritual needs of people, but physical ones as well. Members of the church operate a Thrift Shop to provide good, affordable clothing and household items for people of the community. The church regularly collects food for the local pantry and supports a variety of community ventures including the CROP Walk, the Fill a Backpack project to help school children of needy families in the area, and the Christmas Mitten tree for needy families in surrounding communities, and regularly provides financial support to ministries in the community and beyond.
All are welcome at the Little Gray Church on the Hill. The Community Church of Fontana is located near Geneva Lake where we are reminded daily of the beauty of God's presence. Community Church is a diverse community of Christian friends coming from varying economic backgrounds and from a broad spectrum of faiths but all sharing a common interest to give faith and praise to God in work and worship.
