Our Mission
"The avowed purpose of this Church shall be to worship God; to realize Christian fellowship and unity within this Church and the Church Universal; to render loving service toward all people; and to strive for righteousness, justice, and peace." (Pledge of The Dover Church)
The Dover Church was gathered in this suburb of Boston even before Dover became a town, and today we are an active, intergenerational congregation.
Our members and friends come from many different church traditions, and in this place find warmth and community. We follow the way of Jesus Christ: we teach the Bible to our energetic and active Sunday School; we delight in strong, interfaith youth groups; we meet in small groups for fellowship; we learn from each other how to live faithfully in the world; we reach beyond ourselves for service and deeper understanding. We are an interdenominational church, primarily affiliated with the United Church of Christ and also in full standing with the Unitarian Universalist Society.
Welcome! Young and older, certain and seeking, singles and families, singers and pray-ers, visitors and friends --
welcome to a place of warmth and joy,as we give thanks for God's great gifts in Jesus Christ. Welcome!
