Our Mission: We strive to be a witness for Christ in our community, especially including military personnel and families on Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base.

Our Beliefs: We are a small but warm and family-like congregation that seeks to serve Jesus Christ through service to others.  Along with others in the United Church of Christ, which was formed by a merger of the Congregational Christian Churches and the Evangelical and Reformed Church, we do not insist on any rigid dogma or theological views.  Whatever your church background, you will probably feel at home in the United Church of Christ and at Eutaw UCC.  Our church is open to everyone who accepts the Christian faith.  That faith is summed up in the Preamble to the UCC Constitution:  Jesus Christ as Son of God, our Savior, and the sole head of the church; the Word of God in the Scriptures; the presence and power of the Holy Spirit; and the two sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper or Holy Communion.  You are not required to accept other specific theological views of other members, but you are asked to accept each member as your brother or sister in a spirit of fellowship and love.

We see our ministry as serving Christ through serving others.  We seek to provide a warm, loving, multi-racial and multi-cultural church home to both long-time members, most in their senior years, and to those new to the community and possibly new to the Christian faith.  We do this in a historically Christian context as outlined in the Preamble to the UCC Constitution:  acknowledging as sole head Jesus Christ, Son of God and Savior; acknowledging as kindred in Christ all who share in this confession: and looking to the Word of God in the Scriptures, and to the presence and power of the Holy Spirit for strength and guidance.

Our History: Early in 1951 plans were made for development of 350 acres of land into residential areas an a shopping center. The land was located between Bragg Blvd. and Little Cross Creek. Mrs. Florence Rogers, owner of the land, and Joe Stout, Builder/Financial backer, wanted to have a Protestant Church at the core of developments.
Mrs. Rogers met and enlisted the services of Rev. Kenneth Linder, a Baptist Chaplain at Fort Bragg, to establish a church on the corner 6 acres of Stamper and Lyon Roads.

The Eutaw United Community Church was organized on May 6, 1951 as a Congregational Christian Church Denomination and met for its first worship service in the home of Mrs. Rogers. Rev. Linder changed his affiliation to the Congregational Christian denomination and conducted worship service in a home on Ethelored Street. Rev. Linder returned to the army in 1952.

We invite all who are seeking a small but warm church
family to join us on our journey of faith.
