Our Mission: We share the joy of life in God's family through worship of God, growth in Christian Faith , and service to others.

While most are from Bedford, people from close to thirty other communities also consider this their church home. First Church has a tradition of warm community, care for others, mission/outreach in areas such as prison ministry, hunger, homelessness, domestic violence, AIDS and more. Children and youth are valued and are included as active participants in worship, programs and general fellowship. Families/households of various configurations (single, divorced, widowed, married, partnered, with children, without children), and ecumenical and interfaith marriages are found in our congregations.
