Worship Times:   10:00 a.m. Worship 11:15 a.m. Sunday School The church building is handicap accessible, with an elevator and gently sloping ramps providing easy access to all levels.  We provide large print bulletins, including enlarged copies of the hymns, for those who have difficulty reading regular size type.

Our Mission: As a community of believers we extend God's grace available through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to all, embracing in God's love the diversity of the whole human family, honoring all people as the children of God, respecting the creation as the handiwork of God, and, as citizens of the world, proclaiming the peace and justice of God.

Our congregation was organized in Jefferson, Ohio in 1830.  Jefferson is a small county seat town in northeast Ohio.  First Congregational UCC remains firmly rooted in the Christian faith.  We are ecumenical in spirit, and we openly affirm and honor the faith and commitment of all who confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.  In addition, we welcome to our worship, Sunday school classes, and fellowship groups all seekers, regardless of where they are on their journey toward faith.  And, of course, along with other churches everywhere, we aim to provide classes, activities, and opportunities for bonding in friendship for children and adults of all ages.

It is God working in us, pouring out the Spirit of love and good
will in Christ through us, God through Christ who invites you to
share with us in serving one another and in reaching out in our
mission to the community and to the world.
