      In celebration of the God given diversity of creation and the unconditional welcome extended to friend and stranger alike by Jesus Christ, the First Congregational Church of Norwich welcomes into its fellowship all who desire to be a part of this community of faith.  Each of us comes to God in the same way, unconditionally loved and accepted.  The good news today is that we are loved by God and this unconditional love confers on us identity, meaning, value, and worth.  We are important people in this world!

      As a church, we are committed to living together in such a way that we give witness to Christ's sacrificial life, saving death and resurrection, by extending to all people the kind of hospitality exemplified in Jesus Christ our Savior.

Directions to First Church on the Norwichtown Green:

• From I-395: take exit 82, turn onto W Town St, go approximately 1 mile, the church is on the left.
• From downtown Norwich, head west on CT-2/CT-32 N, this will turn into Washington Street.  Pass Backus Hospital on your left onto Town Street, approximately .5 miles. The church will be straight ahead.

Parking is available both on and off street.  Handicap parking is available between the church and the Parish Hall

If weather turns bad the Deacons will make the decisions whether or not to cancel worship.  Please watch Channel 3 and 30 for any notices.  In addition it will be posted on this site and on the CT Weather web site http://www.ctweather.com/.

If school is cancelled in Norwich, then the office is closed and all church meetings are cancelled for the day as well.
