Our Mission: Empowered by the Holy Spirit Kailua Christian Church strives to be a loving and nurturing family of faith committed to a growing relationship with God, one another, and the world through teaching, service and witness as embodied by Jesus Christ.
Kailua Christian Church (United Church of Christ) has a 48-year history of witness and service to the Windward community on the island of Oahu. The church was born in response to a tragedy within the community and the desire to reach out and minister in an ongoing way to people on this side of the island, inviting them into Christian faith and fellowship. Kailua Christian Church began as a predominantly Japanese-American congregation, though now, the rich ethnic diversity present in the members reflects our understanding of the nature of the kingdom of God.

Ministry in its present form begins with Sunday morning worship at 10:00 a.m., where we strive to blend contemporary and traditional forms of worship together. Sunday School for children through adults precedes worship, beginning at 8:45 a.m. There are several small groups at KCC (Kailua Christian Church) that meet the needs and desires of church members and people in the community. Among these groups are the Wednesday Morning Bible Class, which meets from 9:00-11:00 a.m. each Wednesday. Also Na Anela (Na Anela I ka hana a ke Akua) Support Group meets the 4th Saturday of every month from 9:00-11:00 a.m., providing various speakers and ongoing fellowship and support to those who are dealing with life threatening illnesses. We also have an Overcomers Group which provides fellowship and sharing for members who have lost a loved one through death. There are several classes of various faith-related topics and Bible Study that are offered at different times throughout the year! We are attentive to the needs of youth with an energetic and well-attended youth group that provides nurture, education, and a comfortable environment within the church for junior and senior high school students.
KCC has always been a mission's church and takes its outreach to the community in both service and monetary offering very seriously. We are involved in several ongoing outreach activities which include: feeding the homeless, assisting the State Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, providing and maintaining a transitional housing unit to assist small families until they can find a place of their own, relationships with Prison Ministry and a Benevolence Fund that financially assists with emergency needs of those who request assistance. Being a church family that recognizes we have received much from God, we respond by giving much to address the needs of our own members and the world as a whole.
KCC membership is approximately 200 members.
Come feel the warmth and welcome of worship with your brothers and sisters at Kailua Christian Church!
