Rev. Lindy Holt, Minister

February 7, 2010  Temperature 20. Sunny. Wind is strong out of the north and promise of snow the next two days.  The scripture was OT Isaiah 6:1-8, (9-13)read by
Delbert Hlavinka and NT 1 Corinthians 15: 1-11 read by Steve Hastings .  Lindy read the Gospel which was Luke 5:1-11.The bulletin title today was "Into the Deep".  Dave's nausea improved with a new medication this week. Due to the poor weather and cold no catechism class
. Engers served communion today. We remember Ollie and Ethel,
the Oxtons and John Baker in our prayers. Carol Sparrow has medical problems and we remember her also. We remember John Botto. Velma Pautz continues to improve.  Our sister church is Carrington today.  Jo Ewen will be having hip surgery this week.  Lindy will take a sabbatical this year in June to August. This might involve a walking trip across a European country such as Scotland.  It's exciting to think about.

"Once while Jesus was standing beside the lake of Gennesaret, and the crowd was pressing on on him to hear the word of God, he saw two boats there at the shore of the lake; the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets."

 Luke 5:1-2

"Education is that which reveals to the wise, and conceals from the stupid, the vast limits of their knowledge."
