Our Mission: To bind together followers of Jesus Christ for the purpose of sharing in the worship of God and in the understanding of God's will in the lives of people, as set forth in the Bible and in the teaching of Jesus Christ.

MPCC was founded in 1913 by Whittier Plymouth Congregational Church as a mission outreach effort to the growing Japanese immigrant community in Montebello. What began as a Sunday School project eventually grew, through the hard work, dedication and sacrifice of the Issei members, to be the Montebello Plymouth Congregational Church.

Today, MPCC is a multi-cultural church. We rejoice in our diversity and are empowered to carry on the rich legacy of faith as a people of God called to a ministry of peace, justice and a loving community.

Besides our Sunday morning worship service at 10:00 am, our many weekly and monthly activities include: Bible Studies, Sunday School, Children's Worship, Men's Breakfast(monthly), Kumi Kyodai, Guitar Group, Adult Choir and Women's Fellowship. MPCC also offers its facilities to cultural and social classes such as: Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement), Sumie (Japanese water color), Odori (Japanese traditional dance), Line Dance, Ballroom Dance and Computer Classes.
