 Our Mission: We acknowledge the dignity and worth of all God's people and we endeavor to show the love of Jesus Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit by being a haven of help, healing and hope.

We seek to unite people from all walks of life as we worship God and appreciate the dynamic diversity of God's creation through our seven areas of ministry:

  • Church Administration, the power of faithful stewardship is learned and God's people enjoy prosperity in the abundance God intended;
  • Education, with the Sunday School Experience, Heritage Moments, Education Night and history building events, an adventurous, culturally enlightening and interactive ministry stimulates intellectual dialog, satisfies the hungry soul and promotes community enrichment;
  • Evangelism seeks to bring the good news beyond the walls of the church with a spiritually uplifting television and internet ministry and provides a prayer/praise environment for intercessory prayer during services;
  • Lay Leadership is the venue through which the gifts of the spirit come alive as Deacons, Acolytes, Ushers, Greeters, and Lay Readers, learn what it means to be servants in the body of Christ.
  • Missions administers our tithing the tithes ministry where Safe Haven UCC annually returns one tenth of money received during the year to individuals and organizations at home and abroad who are agents of help, healing and hope;
  • Music & Performing Arts utilizes songs, dance, drama, instruments to bring forth a memorable worship experience with the Channels of Blessings and RMW Choirs, the Saints of Sound Musical Ensemble, Sr. Judah Tribes of Judah Liturgical Dancers and the Drama Community;
  • Pastoral Care serves individuals, couples, families, those in crisis and people in need of encouragement. Referrals are also provided through this ministry.

You are invited to be participant in a ministry
uniting people from diverse backgrounds in an
open and affirming worship environment.
