Northern Cluster Pig Roast and Vespers Service

This will be held on Sunday, June 27, 5pm, at Doris Shade's house in Spring Glen.  The event will include a pig roast, music/entertainment, a vespers service, and games for young and old.  There will be a free-will donation to cover expenses - anything above expenses will be donated to relief efforts in Chile and Haiti.

Youth Planning Meeting

On June 29, several parents of our youths, along with Mark Dietrich and Pastor Ray, met to begin planning youth activities for the fall.  The activities will include some fun things, some service opportunities, and some educational events.  If YOU would be interested in coordinating a youth event, let Mark or Pastor Ray know!  Stay tuned for more details.

Christmas in July Hymnsing

There are so many wonderful Christmas carols, that we never get to sing them all at Christmastime.  On July 11, we will have a "Christmas in July" hymnsing.  We will sing lots of our favorite Christmas carols from the hymnal.  Of course, we can sing other hymns that day as well.  So let's have fun and praise the Lord with some "cool" music this summer!

Combined Church Dutch-Treat at Country Cupboard in July

St. Paul's Sacramento and David's Hebe will have a combined church outing to Country Cupboard in Lewisburg on Saturday, July 17.  We will carpool from church at 4pm, and meet in Lewisburg at 5pm.  (See sign-up sheet in church.)

2010 Vacation Bible School at St. Paul's

High Seas Expedition will be held at St. Paul's from July 18-22, 6-8pm each night.  Kids will go on a vast voyage through God's Word as they participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into yummy treats, experience electrifying Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God's Word, and create Bible Point crafts they'll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings.

Combined Church Worship & Picnic

Be sure to join us on Sunday, July 27, for our annual combined church worship and picnic.  This year, the event will be held at the Hubley Ballfield in Spring Glen.  Please bring a covered dish to share, a tablecloth, something to drink, eating utensils, and your appetite.  And bring some friends!  We will provide hotdogs and hamburgers.  Worship begins at 10am, with the picnic following afterwards.

August 6, 6pm - Tri-Valley Ministerium Youth Night at Hegins Pool

Bring your swimsuit, a towel, and a non-perishable food item for the food pantry.  Pizza and beverages will be provided.  Come and join the other area youths for some free splashing fun!

Mr. Sticky Fundraiser

Save the Date!!!  Saturday, August 21, 6am-12noon, at the church.  We'll be counting on you to help sell pre-orders for Mr. Sticky sticky buns (and of course, buy some yourself!).  Deadline for orders - August 8.

Save the Date - October 17 - Homecoming 2010

On Sunday, October 17, St. Paul's will have our annual homecoming service, including special music, guest preacher, and a fabulous meal afterwards.  Our special music guest this year will be Ray Dietrich.  Stay tuned for more details in upcoming newsletters.

St. Paul's Cares....

Red Prayer Bowl at St. Paul's

Remember that you can always place your written prayer requests in our red prayer bowl, located in the side room.  Our Prayer Chain meets monthly to review and pray over all requests.  And if YOU feel called to join this prayer ministry - perhaps you have the spiritual gift of intercessory prayer - then please let Ruth Koppenhaver or Pastor Ray know, and we will be sure to include you at the monthly prayer gatherings.  Note: when the group meets and prays over requests, they are added to our newsletter's prayer list, and are removed from the prayer bowl.

Donations for Elizabethville Clothing Closet - Now Accepting Teenage Clothing
Don't forget that we have an ongoing request from the Elizabethville Clothing Closet for gently-worn/almost new clothing for babies and children.  Please leave your donations in the collection box in the back of church.
