12:10pm & 12:30pm                     "Meditations at the Cross" where we'll join Jesus at the cross through brief reflections, prayer and hymn singing focused on Jesus' seven last words on the cross                                                                  

 

EASTER Sunday (March 23) 10:15am

He is Risen! We will celebrate the good news in various ways, including special music from Handel's Messiah, drama and activities for children

 

Our Mission:                                                                                 Historic Salem, in the heart of Harrisburg seeks the Holy Spirit's guidance in welcoming all people to worship God; by encouraging participation in the ministry of Christ through Christian outreach to the city's heart.                        
As Harrisburg's first church, built in 1787, we have stressed our historic past by participating ecumenically with many diverse denominations over the years. We serve our community in the present by welcoming many older persons who live in the area and cannot attend their own church any longer. We care about the future by housing a high school performing arts school in our church and  housing the Bethany Counseling Ministry , a UCC related family ministry program.
