Our Mission: We believe that God is still speaking, and we believe that we are called to be God's shining light, bringing about God's vision of loving community through prayer and action.
In Our Life Together, we are small enough to know each other and open enough to reach out to the world. We are a church open to all, regardless of race, age, nationality or sexual orientation, for the worship of God.
In Worship, we take time to pray for each other and for all of God's creation. We celebrate God's presence among us in music new and old. We seek the meaning of God's Word in this time and place, puzzling together over life's questions rather than claiming to have all the answers.
In Education, we offer opportunities for spiritual growth that range from a lectionary Bible Study to a Meditation Circle to a Women's Book Group. Our growing Sunday School welcomes our children each week, sharing the stories and the love of Jesus Christ. We have sponsored a weekday nursery school for the past 31 years; more than twenty children will be attending Grammy's House in 2004-2005.
In Outreach, our local efforts focus on feeding the hungry by supporting Project FEED food pantry and the Wayside Soup Kitchen; in the wider world we support an AIDS mission in South Africa. In our own church family, we reach out to the homebound or hospitalized through our Prayer Shawl Ministry.
