Our Mission: To respond to God's love
by reaching out with openness and compassion to all.

The ministry of St. John's centers around our two worship services,
which are traditional in style, yet have a friendly and casual atmosphere.  Pastor Delmore's sermons are Biblically based, but also relevant to everyday life.  We have excellent music, with a beautiful organ and great choir.  Each
Sunday we have a special time during worship for children.  Once a month
is Youth Sunday, when the young people sing, and serve as ushers,
and greeters.  Childcare is provided for young children.

  • We offer Christian Education classes for children, youth and adults,
Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM.   Confirmation for eighth graders meets
Sundays at 5:30 PM.  We have an active Youth Group, which meets at
    6:30 PM on Sundays.
  • Fellowship is important at St. John's.  Among our many groups are Primetimers, Cornerstones, Women's Guild, Fellowship Circle and Ladies' Night Out.  As a Church family, we enjoy many meals together and
numerous other activities.  We like to have fun!
  • We are very active in Outreach and Service.  Here is a sampling of some of the things we do.  In addition to our regular mission giving, we have a unique "Second Mile Offering," which supports various local programs.  We are involved with and host two different Scout Troops.  Our young people get involved with missions at an early age.  Currently our children are supporting the Heiffer Project; our Confirmation class is working on service hours and a class mission project.  Our 6th and 7th grade class lead the congregation in hands-on projects, such as collecting and assembling Disaster Relief Clean-up kits and Health kits.  We give generously to the Salvation Army's Food Drives; deliver Meals on Wheels to shut-ins; and look forward to helping the newly-formed Belvidere Habitat for Humanity.

We would love to have you visit!  Everyone is welcome at St. John's! If you have questions, needs or concerns, please do call or email us.  We look forward to meeting YOU!
