Our Mission:  Uniting faithful Christians in worship, service, love, and laughter.

St. John's began our journey as two communities who shared a desire to worship in their common language, one in an urban setting and the other in a rural background. Adapting to the ever changing pathways of time by moving closer together, they built a faith home in the suburbs of Council Bluffs. Our congregation is a healthy blend of our rural generational families, our educated urban dwellers, and our nomadic suburban folks.

From centenarians to newborns, we worship as the body of Christ, seeking ways to mature in our faith, searching for avenues of carrying out God's mission in the wider community, and looking for paths of righteousness and peace amid the clutter and clamor of life. Members come from as far away as Omaha and Bellevue, Nebraska or as near by as our own neighborhood. We provide a place of rest for folks in transition who simply need a place to pause and reflect upon the direction their life is taken. We offer a place of welcome for those who are looking for a community of which they can be a part. We supply a place of challenge for any who desire to be stretched spiritually and incarnationally.

Our roots are deep in the area and the branches of our faith spread far and wide. If the woods around us are dark and deep, we know whose woods these are and who walks with us along the miles we have yet to travel.
