Our Mission: We seek to love and serve God in all that we do, remaining open to God-still speaking to us.
We are a Church that is faithful in gathering to worship together, that enjoys each other's company and faithfully walks with each other through good times and bad. We have a traditional, but not boring or routine worship service. We use the NRSV and the New Century Hymnal in our worship, and also sing some folk songs on occasion. We have a strong musical heritage, including the best choir in town and the St. Paul Musicians. We began a twice a year concert series 4 years ago that collects a freewill offering for local charities. We have Sunday School for children and adults, and a strong puppet ministry. We have church-wide potlucks four times a year after our morning worship service. We serve the community in a variety of ways, including being the founding church of an End of the Month meal program, which now includes 6 other churches in the city serving approximately 250 meals - free of charge, no questions asked - at the end of each month. We are not a large church in terms of numbers, but we are a mighty church in terms of heart and soul.
Come join us and together let us worship and
serve God in Oskaloosa.
