Our Mission: We, the Caring family of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, welcome with open arms people of all types, to love and learn together in our relaxed God centered home, as we help to meet the needs of our community and the world!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, St. Peter's UCC nurtures and encourages the priesthood of all believers to fulfill the work of the church. The areas of focus that our Visioning process lead us to include are; Worship, Education/Discipleship, Evangelism/Hospitality and Administration. This TEAM approach to ministry begins in the Nursery and continues to the Pulpit. Together we are servants of the Lord, instruments of God's love and caring neighbors.
Our Open and Affirming Statement: We the members of Saint Peter's United Church of Christ believe God's Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ call us to love our neighbors as we would want to be loved. Jesus teaches us to welcome all God's children into God's covenantal community. We, the Congregation of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, declare ourselves to be open and affirming. With God's grace and guidance of the Holy Spirit, we seek to be a congregation that includes all persons, embracing differences of physical, mental and emotional ability, sexual orientation, gender, marital status, age, as well as racial, ethnic, or social-economic background. We welcome all to share in the life and leadership, ministry, and fellowship, worship, sacraments, responsibilties and blessings of participation in our congregation.
St. Peter's UCC welcomes all to our community of faith and desires, with God's help, to grow into our changing neighborhoods that we might meet the needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ.
