Our Mission: Our aim is to live out in community - as faithfully as possible - Christ's Great Commandment to love God and love our neighbor.
Our ministry includes:
- Gathering weekly for Spirit-infused, Love-inspired, Christ-centered worship.
- Teaching our children about God's amazing love through shared worship, Sunday School classes, and through including them as much as possible in every aspect of the church life.
- Practicing together a life of prayer which includes prayers for our church members and the wider community, prayers for peace, and an ad hoc prayer "swat team" that has made a profound difference in lives.
- Being present to and for each other in times of both joy and suffering.
- Reaching out to the world beyond our congregation through the wider ministries of the UCC, through the Christmas box project, through Crop Walk, Habitat for Humanity, and Church World Service projects. And reaching out more locally to a nearby nursing home.
- Strengthening our sense of community through fund-raising efforts, monthy coffee hours, and through social activities, such as Retirees Out-to-Lunch Bunch, a very active, service-oriented Women's Fellowship, and occasional Progressive Dinners.
- Staying open and alert to where God is calling us, to what God is creating us to be as a congregation.
- Expecting miracles!
