The United Church of Ovid

The United Church of Ovid is a church with membership in two 
denominations.  We are both United Methodist and United Church of Christ.  This situation arose during World War II when First Congregational Church  (est. 1871) and Grace Methodist Episcopal Church (est. 1860) merged due to pastors being called into the military. 

This history makes us uniquely open to people of a variety of Christians traditions and beliefs. Our ability to maintain our connection with both  denominations for 60 years clearly demonstrates our commitment  to making that diversity of opinions work.  To see our message board, follow:
