Our Mission: We seek to be an inclusive community where religious beliefs and doubts can be expressed openly and honestly and where differences of faith are respected.

The United Church of Christ of Toms River is a small and caring congregation dedicated to following the path of Jesus Christ as we tread softly through this good creation. Yet we are not a creedal Church, meaning we have no specific creed or set of doctrines that we insist be accepted by members. Rather, we are a covenantal church in which we join together in a promise to accept and assist each other in our individual spiritual journeys toward growth and understanding. Freedom, responsibility, and covenant form the core of the United Church of Christ's Constitution. These traits also impact individual members of the UCC. Each member has the freedom and responsibility, with the leading of God's Spirit, the use of one's mind, the devotion of one's heart, and the guidance of the historic traditions of the universal church, to work out a faith that is meaningful to her or him. We seek to be an inclusive community where religious beliefs and doubts can be expressed openly and honestly and where differences of faith are respected.
