Our Mission: The mission of the United Church of Madrid is to go forth and make disciples of Jesus Christ by providing spiritual guidance and Christian education to the church family and community, and by reaching out to those in need.
As a United Church, with roots in both the United Methodist and Congregational denominations, we are an active, welcoming church, focused on the needs of our community. Even though we are located in a small town, we have a local, national and international focus in our giving and mission work. We are actively involved in a cooperative Thrift Store and Food Pantry, provide support for residents in the Murphy House Alcoholic Rehabilitation Center, and provide resources for OCWM, CWS, and local charities. Our worship is engaging and participative; our Sunday School program is exemplary.
Our choir is regionally known as one of the best. We offer bible studies for adults and youth, small groups for men and women, and intergenerational activities to create a sense of community. We are a committed, Christ-centered church whose warmth and spirit is felt from the moment you enter our doors.
