Our Mission: "Vine Congregational Church, U.C.C., rooted in the soil of Christian belief, is an open and inclusive community of believers that provides care, support, and encouragement to individuals and families as they bear witness to their faith within and beyond the local church."

Organized in 1890 as the Vine Street Congregational Church at 25th and Vine Streets, the congregation moved into its new building at 1800 Twin Ridge Road  in 1958. Vine Church is part of the United Church of Christ, a 2 million member denomination formed in 1957 through a merger of the Congregational Christian Church  and the Evangelical and Reformed Church. The U.C.C. is proud of its open and inclusive spirit. The approximately 400 members of Vine Church represent diverse  theological and social beliefs within the mainstream Protestant tradition. Vine Church members come to worship from all over Lincoln and the surrounding area.  We represent a wide range of professions, levels of education, family structures, personal interests, and community involvement.

We pledge ourselves to provide a safe, friendly place to meet with old friends and new according to the example
of Christ, our Savior.
